We cut trench, bed and lay pipe, and backfill it properly. Storm, sanitary and water, plus the dry utility trench where power and communications go in.
Trench work is the most dangerous thing we do and it gets treated that way. Walls get sloped, benched or shored to the depth and the soil, every time, including the short runs. There is no version of this job where a trench is left unprotected because it was only going to be open for an hour.
Depth and groundwater drive the price more than length does. A shallow run across firm ground is straightforward; the same footage through a high water table needs dewatering and shoring, and that is a different number.
